Research and Development Institute, Nakhon Phanom University Holds Workshop on Waste Value Creation and Recycling Market
On 13 August 2026, the Research and Development Institute, Nakhon Phanom University (NPU) organized a workshop on Value-Based Waste Management and a Recycling Market Workshop. The opening ceremony was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Khomsak Harachai, Director of the Research and Development Institute, who also addressed the objectives of the event.
The program included training on how to turn waste into economic value, strategies for generating income from recyclable materials, and a hands-on recycling market where participants bought and sold recyclable waste. Participants also received complimentary floor cleaner and bathroom cleaning solution as part of the environmental campaign.
The event successfully collected 157 kilograms of recyclable waste, including:
- Plastic bottles: 65 kg
- Paper: 90 kg
- Aluminum cans: 2 kg
The strong participation and positive response demonstrated the potential of developing the recycling market into a sustainable waste management mechanism within the university.
