Subject: Criteria for Research Grant Support and Researcher Development under the Research and Innovation Fund, Fiscal Year 2022

1. Applicant Qualifications

  1. Applicants must be personnel of Nakhon Phanom University, including both academic staff and supporting staff, who are currently working at the University and are not on study leave and/or professional development leave, and who have not previously received research funding exceeding 100,000 Baht from any funding source, except for internal funding received from their faculty/college (meeting any one of these conditions shall be considered eligible under this criterion).
  2. Applicants, throughout the proposal submission and the entire funding period, must not be on study leave, training leave, or other types of leave, either domestically or internationally, for a period of six months or longer.
  3. Applicants must not have previously received funding from the Research and Innovation Fund.
  4. Applicants must not hold an academic position at the level of Assistant Professor or higher, or an equivalent position (Level 3 or above), or any equivalent position under a different title.

2. Research Budget Support

  1. For basic research or applied research projects, funding support shall not exceed 50,000 Baht per project.
  2. For institutional research projects, funding support shall not exceed 10,000 Baht per project.

3. Application Procedure

Personnel wishing to apply for research grant support may submit their research proposals as follows:

  1. Complete the research proposal information through the Nakhon Phanom University Research Management System (RMS) at
    http://research.npu.ac.th/rmsV2/login/
  2. Attach the research proposal file using the prescribed template in both .pdf and .docx formats within the system, and submit three (3) hard copies of the proposal to the Research and Development Institute, Nakhon Phanom University by 9 February 2022 at 4:30 PM.
