The Research and Development Institute of Nakhon Phanom University organized a workshop on developing an operational plan in accordance with the master plan of the Plant Genetic Conservation Project under the Royal Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (RSPG).

The event was honored by the presence of Dr. Piyarat Parinyapong Charoensap, Assistant Director of the Project at Level 9 and Secretary of the RSPG Committee, who served as the keynote speaker. Associate Professor Dr. Kornchai Pornlapatsornchakorn, Vice President for Finance, Research, and Academic Services, delivered the opening remarks and provided guidance on the implementation of the RSPG project at Nakhon Phanom University. Assistant Professor Dr. Komsak Hanchai, Director of the Research and Development Institute, reported the objectives of the activity.

The workshop included training sessions on the implementation guidelines for the 8th five-year RSPG master plan, as well as guidance on preparing project proposals and operational plans for the 2028 Plant Genetic Conservation Project under the Royal Initiative. Participants also worked on drafting project proposals and operational plans related to plant genetic conservation. Various local plant species were selected for study and conservation development. Researchers and project coordinators presented their operational plans, while the speakers provided recommendations and feedback.

The workshop was held at the meeting room on the 2nd floor of the Digital Technology Office (City Campus), Nakhon Phanom University. Faculty members and staff from various departments of the university attended the event together to support and effectively drive the implementation of plant genetic conservation in line with the objectives of the RSPG project.
