Research and Development Institute Organizes Workshop on Operational Planning under the RSPG Master Plan

The Research and Development Institute, Nakhon Phanom University, organized a workshop on developing operational plans in accordance with the master plan of the Plant Genetic Conservation Project under the Royal Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (RSPG).

The workshop featured Dr. Piyarat Parinyapong Charoensap, Assistant Director of the Project (Level 9) and Secretary of the RSPG Committee, as the keynote speaker. Associate Professor Dr. Kornchai Pornlapatrachchakorn, Vice President for Finance, Research, and Academic Services, delivered the opening remarks and provided guidance on the implementation of the RSPG project at Nakhon Phanom University. Assistant Professor Dr. Komsak Harachai , Director of the Research and Development Institute, presented the objectives of the workshop.

The program included training on the implementation guidelines for the Eighth Five-Year RSPG Master Plan, as well as guidance on preparing project proposals and operational plans for the 2028 Plant Genetic Conservation Project under the Royal Initiative. Participants also developed draft project proposals and operational plans related to plant genetic conservation, with a focus on selected local plant species for study and conservation.

During the workshop, researchers and project coordinators presented their draft operational plans, and the keynote speakers provided recommendations and constructive feedback.

The workshop was held in the second-floor meeting room of the Digital Technology Office (City Campus), Nakhon Phanom University. Faculty members and staff from various departments participated in the event to strengthen collaboration and effectively advance plant genetic conservation in alignment with the objectives of the RSPG project.
