Research and Development Institute Holds the 1/2026 Meeting of the RSPG Committee at Nakhon Phanom University
On May 12, 2026, the Research and Development Institute, Nakhon Phanom University, organized the 1/2026 Meeting of the Committee for the Plant Genetic Conservation Project under the Royal Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (RSPG) at Nakhon Phanom University.
The meeting was chaired by Professor Emeritus Dr. Thawatchai Suphadit, President of Nakhon Phanom University. Dr. Piyarat Parinyapong Charoensap, Secretary of the RSPG Committee, presented the operational guidelines of the RSPG under the Seventh Five-Year Master Plan. Mr. Phornchai Chutamat, Deputy Director of the Plant Genetic Conservation Project under the Royal Initiative, also provided an overview of the project’s implementation framework under the same master plan.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the results of fiscal year 2025 and received a progress report on fiscal year 2026 operations conducted under the RSPG framework at Nakhon Phanom University. The report was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Komsak Harachai , Director of the Research and Development Institute and Secretary of the university’s RSPG Project.
The meeting aimed to advance the implementation of the royal initiative in plant genetic conservation, natural resource and biodiversity database development, and the promotion of collaboration among relevant agencies and local communities to ensure sustainable outcomes.
