Nakhon Phanom University Holds the 5th Srikotraboon Studies National Conference under the theme “Artificial Intelligence: Transforming the World, Transforming Lives for the Creation of a Future Society”

On December 12, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., the Research and Development Institute of Nakhon Phanom University organized the 5th “Srikotraboon Studies” National Conference as a platform for exchanging academic knowledge and research. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Emeritus Dr. Thawatchai Suphadit, President of the University. Associate Professor Dr. Korachai Pornlaphatsornchakon, Vice President for Finance, Research, and Academic Services, delivered the conference report, while Assistant Professor Dr. Khomsak Hanchai, Director of the Research and Development Institute, gave the welcoming remarks. The event was held at Kaew Chao Chom Conference Hall, 3rd Floor, Faculty of Management Science and Information Technology, Nakhon Phanom University (Marukkhanakhon Campus), Na Rat Khwai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Nakhon Phanom Province.

This year’s conference was organized under the theme “Artificial Intelligence: Transforming the World, Transforming Lives for the Creation of a Future Society.” The conference aimed to serve as a forum for exchanging academic knowledge in digital technology and artificial intelligence, which are playing increasingly important roles in the development of society, the economy, and people’s quality of life.

Professor Emeritus Dr. Thawatchai stated that the university was proud to host this important academic conference, which provides researchers and interested participants with an opportunity to share experiences, knowledge, and perspectives on the development of AI technologies. He emphasized that AI is not merely a technology for convenience, but rather “a force for transformation” capable of enhancing work, education, industry, and new economic opportunities for the country. He also stressed the importance of responsible AI development to ensure an equitable and sustainable society.

Associate Professor Dr. Korachai Pornlaphatsornchakon revealed that the conference was organized in collaboration with a network of 21 partner organizations. Distinguished guest speakers included Professor Dr. Booncharoen Sirinaovakul, who delivered a special lecture titled “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Thailand’s Development: From National Strategy to Area-Based Transformation,” and Professor Dr. Peerapong Teekasakul, who presented “Transforming Area-Based Universities through Digital Technology to Enhance the Creative Economy.”

This year, academic papers were accepted from nine academic disciplines. A total of 37 papers passed the selection process, with more than 50 participants from educational institutions nationwide attending the conference. Oral presentation sessions covered fields such as social sciences, humanities, management, interdisciplinary studies, integrated learning, education, creative arts, and tourism management.

The conference marks another important step for Nakhon Phanom University in advancing academic circles and technological development, enabling knowledge and innovation to be further applied for the concrete benefit of communities and society.
