RDI,NPU Hosts Workshop on “Developing Research Proposals for External Funding: Strategic Fund (SF) Category by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT)”

On July 4, 2026, the Research and Development Institute (RDI) at Nakhon Phanom University organized a workshop titled “Developing Research Proposals for External Funding: Strategic Fund (SF) Category by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).” Associate Professor Dr. Kornchai Phonlaphatrachakorn, Vice President for Finance, honored the event by delivering the opening remarks at the DC Meeting Room, Office of Digital Technology, Nakhon Phanom University.

The morning session featured a lecture on key techniques for crafting research proposals to increase the chances of securing a Strategic Fund (SF) grant from the NRCT. The institute was honored to welcome four distinguished guest speakers:

  • Prof. Dr. Therdchai Choibamroong (National Institute of Development Administration – NIDA)

  • Prof. Dr. Sappasith Klomklao (Thaksin University, Phatthalung Campus)

  • Prof. Emeritus Dr. Attachai Jintrawet (Chiang Mai University)

  • Prof. Dr. Parin Chaivisuthangkura (Srinakharinwirot University)

The afternoon session was dedicated to group workshop activities focused on proposal development, where participants received customized feedback and recommendations tailored to the specific funding frameworks.

The objective of this workshop was to enhance the knowledge, understanding, and capacity of faculty members and researchers in developing research proposals that align with the Strategic Fund (SF) framework of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT). This initiative aims to increase opportunities for securing external research grants and drive the production of high-quality research outcomes.
