ประวัติสถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนา

      สถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนา มหาวิทยาลัยนครพนม ตั้งอยู่บ้านเลข 167 หมู่ 8 บ้านเนินสะอาด ตำบลนาราชควาย อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดนครพนม รหัสไปรษณีย์ 48000 ซึ่งเป็นหน่วยงานตามพระราชบัญญัติ มหาวิทยาลัยนครพนม พ.ศ. 2558 ซึ่งประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษา เล่มที่ 122 ตอนที่ 75 ก เมื่อวันที่ 1 กันยายน พ.ศ. 2558 และตามประกาศกฎกระทรวง ศึกษาธิการ ว่าด้วยการแบ่งส่วนราชการมหาวิทยาลัยนครพนม พ.ศ. 2550 ลงวันที่ 1 สิงหาคม 2550 และประกาศ ใน ราชกิจจานุเบกษา ในวันที่ 15 สิงหาคม 2550 สถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนาเป็นหน่วยงานที่มีฐานะเทียบเท่าคณะ ซึ่งมี ผู้บังคับบัญชา คือ ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนา

        การบริหารงานโดยผู้อำนวยการสถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนา ซึ่งมี ดร.สมเกียรติ กสิกรานันท์ บริหารงานตั้งแต่ (17 สิงหาคม 2550 ถึง 1 มีนาคม 2551) และรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ลลิตา ฤกษ์สำราญ บริหารงานตั้งแต่ (1 เมษายน 2551 – 31 มีนาคม 2555) และดร.ปรีชา อุยตระกูล (เริ่ม 1 มิถุนายน 2555-31 พฤษภาคม 2559) มีรักษาราชการแทนผู้อำนวยการ 2 ท่าน คือ อาจารย์ธนพัฒน์ สุระนรากุล (พ.ศ.2563) และรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ทัศนา ประสานตรี (ถึง 30 มิถุนายน 2564)

ปัจจุบันโดยการบริหารงานของ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.กัญลยา มิขะมา (เริ่ม 1 กรกฏาคม 2564-ปัจจุบัน) ได้ดำเนินการตามกรอบแนวทาง การพัฒนาสถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนา ได้กำหนดไว้ 5 ประเด็นยุทธศาสตร์ สอดคล้องตามแผนยุทธศาสตร์การพัฒนา มหาวิทยาลัยนครพนม ภายใต้การบริหารของผู้อำนวยการสถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนา ตามวิสัยทัศน์ "บูรณาการงานวิจัยเพื่อความเป็นเลิศด้านการนำไปใช้ประโยชน์อย่างยั่งยืน เป็นที่พึ่งของประชาคมในภูมิภาคลุ่มแม่น้ำโขง และเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้"

The Research and Development Institute of Nakhon Phanom University is located at 167, Moo. 8, Ban Noen Sa-ard, Na Ratchakwai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Nakhon Phanom Province, 48000. It was established under the Nakhon Phanom University Act B.E. 2548 (2015), which was published in the Royal Gazette, Volume 122, Section 75, issued on September 1, 2015. Additionally, it operates under the Ministerial Regulation of the Ministry of Education on the administrative divisions of Nakhon Phanom University, B.E. 2550 (2007), issued on August 1, 2007, and published in the Royal Gazette on August 15, 2007. The Research and Development Institute is an entity equivalent to a faculty, with its head being the Director of the Research and Development Institute.

The administration of the Research and Development Institute has been led by several directors over the years. Dr.Somkiat Kasikranan served as the director from August 17, 2007, to March 1, 2008, followed by Assc. Prof. Dr.Lalita Lerksamran, who held the position from April 1, 2008, to March 31, 2012. Dr.Preecha Uitragool then served as the director from June 1, 2012, to May 31, 2016. In addition, there were two acting directors – Ajarn Tanapat Suranarakul assumed the role in 2020, and Assoc. Prof. Dr.Tassana Prasantree served until June 30, 2021.

Currently, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanlaya Mikhama has been serving as the director since July 1, 2021. Under her leadership, the Research and Development Institute has been implementing a development framework based on five strategic priorities. These priorities align with the strategic development plan of Nakhon Phanom University, ensuring a cohesive approach to growth and innovation. The institute operates under the vision: "Integrating research for excellence in sustainable utilization, serving as a pillar of support for communities in the Greater Mekong Subregion and Southeast Asia."
